CHARLES IV. SINGLE CASK EDITION

Limited edition seven-year-old rum produced by GrRUM Distillery.

Distilled in 2019 from molasses sourced from Cuba and Paraguay using a Column Still. In 2021, the rum was transferred to French oak casks previously used for red Bordeaux wine to further develop its flavour and aromatic profile. The edition consists of two individual casks, bottled separately as two unique releases. Approximately 500 bottles will be produced in total.

Description

This limited CHARLES IV. edition presents a seven-year-old rum produced by GrRUM Distillery.

At its core is GrRUM Distillery's own distillate, produced to organic (BIO) standards from molasses sourced from Cuba and Paraguay. It was distilled using a Column Still in 2019 and, in 2021, transferred to French oak casks previously used for red Bordeaux wine to further develop its character.

The French oak and the influence of the Bordeaux wine casks have given the rum an elegant profile and a beautiful clear ruby-amber colour. The aroma and palate combine notes of ripe red fruit, a delicate vinous character, spice and French oak.

The edition consists of two individual Bordeaux casks. Each cask is bottled separately, and the rums from the two casks are not blended together. Each release therefore retains the authentic character of its individual cask.

Approximately 500 bottles will be produced from both casks in total. The first release is Cask No. 1 of 2, yielding only 245 bottles.

The rum is bottled at 61% ABV, without dilution, filtration or added sugar, preserving its natural character and authenticity.
