The result is a distinctive "nut rum" character inspired by the atmosphere of Czech fairy-tale evenings.

Description

Charles IV. Walnut Reserve is created at GrRUM Distillery in the Czech Republic using our own rum blend made from molasses sourced from Cuba and Paraguay, enriched with Jamaican molasses to bring subtle honeyed notes, a fuller body, and a smoother rounded character.

Its final profile is shaped through a multi-stage maceration of real walnuts directly in the rum, giving it a natural nutty flavor, gentle bittersweetness, and distinctive depth. The aroma is complemented by delicate hazelnut notes and subtle work with French oak, adding light woody tones and a harmonious finish.

Both the aroma and taste combine notes of rum, walnuts, gentle caramel sweetness, honeyed undertones, and elegant oak. The result is a smooth, aromatic, and highly drinkable spirit drink with a long, delicately nutty aftertaste.

Each batch is produced in limited quantities, with annual production not exceeding approximately 1,500 to 2,000 bottles.
